Our Team

Sitter for your Critter is extremely lucky to have some of the best sitters on the seacoast! We would not be able to deliver the high level of pet care that we have become known for without the help from these passionate pet lovers.

We would like to introduce you to some of our fabulous staff here at Sitter for your Critter

Crystal Hammond

Portsmouth, NH

The proud owner and founder of Sitter for your Critter. She started the company way back in 2007 with just a love of animals and an idea that people in her community might need a different option for their critters when they were out of town. Eight years, 900 clients, and 15 employees later her passion for animals has led her to a life of service for the critters in her community. She founded a nonprofit called Helping People, Helping Pets in 2012 with the mission to provide pet food and veterinary assistance to those that were experiencing financial difficulty and were at risk of loosing their pets.  In 2015 they have successfully delivered over 300,000 pounds of pet food to hungry pets all throughout the Seacoast. These days the nonprofit and managing the business keeps her pretty busy but she refuses to completely stop taking care of her critters all together. Where would the fun be in that? Last but not least she is the very proud owner of an English Bulldog Capone and a super cute kitty named Oakland.

Erin Lord

Eliot, MaineErin

Erin has been with Sitter for your Critter for almost 6 years. Being one of the very first employees of Sitter for your Critter she has seen it all and been through every animal situation you could possibly imagine. She has recently been promoted to the head of our Marketing Department and Hiring Manager. Erin works closely with Crystal to insure that daily operations are running smoothly and that the critters are in good hands. She also refuses to give up walking pups and caring for kitties so you can find her at Pierce Island from time to time walking the trails and throwing tennis balls.

Cheryl MarchulaitisCheryl

Greenland, NH

Cheryl just so happens to be the wonderful mother of Crystal. We like to keep things in the family! Cheryl was definitely born to work with animals. It’s her goal in life to retire in the dog walking business and she absolutley picked the right career. Animals light up when they see her coming. It’s not the typical “I’m happy to see you wiggle” it is the full on “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE” dance and wiggle and roll. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team. She gets booked up pretty quickly so it is advised to request her services well in advance.

Sylvia KurtenbachSylvia

Eliot, ME

Sylvia has been working in the animal care world for over 15 years. She has been a groomer for hundreds of families in Maine and New Hampshire for the past 10 years. She joined our team in 2014 and not only is a wonderful pet sitter but she is the head of our Grooming Department. We just recently added an In-Between Clean service for our clients that will extend the life of your groom and keep your critters looking spiffy all year round. She might be new to our team but her passion and experience with animals makes her the perfect addition to Sitter for your Critter!

Brittany Liska

Portsmouth, NHBrittany

Brittany has been one of our star sitters at Sitter for your Critter. She has a HUGE love for all animals and can handle any situation we throw at her. She has been a great addition to growing team and loves to do overnights so she can snuggle with your critters.

Krista Rodrigues

Saco, MEKrista 2

We recently expanded into the Southern Maine area and Krista has taken over that entire region. She cares for critters in Saco, Scarborough, Old Orchard Beach, Southern Portland, Biddeford, and other surrounding cities. She has a huge heart when it comes to animals. She currently works with different rescue organizations and always has a foster or two in her home. She is an avid hiker and runner and brings her pups everywhere she goes. Krista is the perfect sitter if you are looking for your critters to get a good workout and have fun in a social environment. She also has her own thriving blog all about her dog related activities and manages our Sitter for your Critter newsletter. What doesn’t she do? We are so lucky to have her over seeing our expansion into Maine and know that every new addition to our furry family is in good hands!
