Sitter for your Critter Enters Tenth Year in Business with Plans to Give Back to Customers and Pet-related Charities for An Entire Year
Company amps up its tradition of donating to Seacoast area animal rescues and shelters, creates customer appreciation program for loyal clients
PORTSMOUTH, NH – February 21, 2018 – In celebration of its tenth year in business, Sitter for your Critter (https://sitterforyourcritter.com) (SFYC), the Seacoast’s premiere pet sitting, dog taxiing, cat herding, and dog walking service, has launched a 2018 Giveback Program. Since its inception, SFYC has supported Seacoast area animal rescues, shelters, and others who work so hard to save and place homeless and abused animals with donations, food, and even transportation to the vet. But that wouldn’t have been possible without its amazing clients, many of whom have been with SFYC from the beginning, and its tenacious leader, SFYC founder Crystal Hammond. So this year, SFYC is in the mood to celebrate. And that means even more donations and surprises for the company’s many loyal customers.
Throughout 2018, SFYC is going live on Facebook at the beginning of each month to announce that month’s contests and giveaways. The contests run for the entire month so SFYC’s clients have a chance to participate. In January, the company gave away 20 copies of the book “Dogs and Cats of Instagram.” For February, the focus has been on giving back – which includes donations to Cocheco Valley Humane Society, New England Lab Rescue, Animal Welfare Society, 3 Dogs Rescue, Furr Feline Rescue, Safer Cat, Granite State Dog Rescue, Mary’s Dogs and the NHSPCA. For every donation SFYC receives from its supporters, SFYC is matching for the entire month.
SFYC Roots
Crystal Hammond, founder of SFYC, has worked hard throughout the last ten years to ensure SFYC clients have the most pleasant experience possible. To do that, she’s put in a lot of hard work, made some mistakes, and, yes, even had her fair share of teachable moments. Which is a good thing, because it’s led to the well-oiled machine that SFYC is today. Current projections for 2018 are showing this just might be the company’s busiest year yet – and it’s only February.
SFYC has, at minimum, doubled its revenues year over year since it began as a one-person dog walking business back in 2008. “We want our clients to feel like family, and for them to feel comfortable in knowing we will treat their cats and dogs like they were our own,” said Hammond. “This is also why we have so many clients asking for overnights. We do more than just hang out with Fluffy and Fido. We also water plants, take in the mail, and even wait for the cable guy when schedules get too crazy. We consider ourselves part of the ‘village’ it takes to properly take care of our clients’ beloved family members, but to do that we must be laser focused on providing the highest value for our customers. And that, I think, is what sets us apart from all the rest.”
Currently, SFYC has 12 staff members, with plans to expand staff, and reach, in Dover, Epping, and even further north this summer.
“As one of the very first people to hire Crystal back when she started in 2008, and I can honestly tell you I simply cannot live without her and her team,” said Wendy Poulin, Newcastle resident and mom of Henry and Lulu. “I think sometimes this term gets overused, but she is truly an extended part of my family. Every day of the week Sitter for your Critter takes my dogs on an adventure – something they truly look forward to. I trust SFYC implicitly with my fur babies and my home. When I go out of town they don’t show any signs of stress or anxiety, and that is only possible because they feel such love and compassion from the SFYC team.”
More Than Just A Pretty Face
Another way SFYC supports its clients is through regular blog posts, newsletter updates and social media tips on its brand new website.
In March, we will launch our first ever Bonus Program (https://sitterforyourcritter.com/sfyc-bonus-program/). New customers that choose SFYC for their pet sitting and dog walking needs will receive a book filled with discounts and promotions from local Seacoast businesses. This is not paid for by these other businesses, nor would SFYC ever charge anyone to be in it. It’s simply a way for SFYC to welcome new customers, while helping to connect them with the many other amazing small businesses on the Seacoast.
Sitter for your Critter continues to grow its footprint on the Seacoast and beyond. For more information, to see what SFYC is doing next, or to sign up for the blog, visit the website at: https://www.sitterforyourcritter.com.
